Club Info
A warm welcome to our club. We participate in track & field, road and cross-country events. We are always looking for athletes of all disciplines from eight years upwards, at any level, to join our club. Furthermore, we wish to improve individuals standards and help Corby AC to win competitions and improve our standing in the leagues we participate in. Likewise, we want to encourage more disabled athletes to join us across a range of events via the Northants Wheelchair Academy, which is based at Corby AC. We are keen to welcome more wheelchair users to participate.
To understand more about how the club and how it operates, please look at our policies and constitution. The history of the club is also a good starting point. If you are a school or community group, please think about hiring our fantastic facilities.
Training Timetable
All times/dates above are subject to change due to holidays, coach availability, competitions etc.

Competitions
We encourage our athletes to take part in the relevant competitions. Under 11 to Under 17 age group athletes participate in the Heart of England league (team manager Alan Wymant) with clubs from across the Midlands. Corby is in division 3. Competition includes sprints, middle distance, relays, and field events. There are 3 track and field meetings in May, June, and July.
For those aged 18 and over, there is the Midlands seniors (Team managers Jordan Spence and Yvette Clayton). There are 7 teams in the division, and Corby is in division 5 of 6. There are 4 track and field meetings each Summer. The team is keen to welcome more women and more field sports athletes, and athletes of all ages (18 and over) are very welcome.
The Masters team, formerly known as the veterans/vets team (team manager, Atholl Lawson). The Corby team participates in the Eastern Masters league, open to everyone over 35. The 5-year age groups provide a fantastic way to remain relevant within your chosen discipline whilst being ravaged by the unavoidable progress of time! Membership of the Eastern Masters allows entry to all the track, field and road events throughout the year. There are 4 meetings each summer. Corby has a strong presence in the league and is looking for new members at all levels.

Corby AC athletes also participate in outdoor track and field competitions including the Corby AC Open meetings, open meetings at other Midlands athletics clubs, the Chairman's Cup, County championships and Midlands championships. Further information can be found in Fixtures, Events & Results page.
Wheelchair Racing Academy
The Northants Wheelchair Racing Academy, based at Corby AC, welcomes disabled athletes who wish to try out this exciting para-athletic event. We have 6 different sized chairs belonging to the club, and an assortment of wheelchair racing gloves and helmets. If you have seen wheelchair racing and would like to try it out, please get in touch. You will need to be self propelling, so you can reach the push rims, and able to lean forward. Contact Sue Rey on northants.network.wcr@gmail.com or Alan Wymant on alanwymant@uwclub.net.
The indoor track and field season runs from October to the end of March. This includes open meetings, regional championships and sport hall athletics. The Midland championships are held in February, and the National championships in February/March (requiring qualification).
